Player Ratings – Leicester City 0, Cardiff City 1

Neil Etheridge

http://gty.im/1057615146

Player of the season so far. Saved a penalty taken by James Maddison – the third time he hs kept out a spot-kick this season. Booked for time wasting, but he won’t worry about that. Has established himself as a quality top tier goalkeeper 9

Bruno Ecuele Manga

http://gty.im/1075700388

Back in his right-back slot after moving inside to the middle against Palace last time out when City switched to a three-man central defensive unit. Marc Albrighton tried to get at Manga, but the Leicester man failed and was taken off before the hour. Top quality defender, but I prefer him playing at centre-half 7

Sean Morrison (capt)

http://gty.im/1075717500

Organised his team, maintained focus and concentration. A second successive clean sheet for the City defence – they kept a dangerous Leicester team quiet for long periods 7

Sol Bamba

http://gty.im/1087884328

Magnificent reaction after Neil Etheridge saved that James Maddison second half penalty. The Leicester man looked certain to slot home when the ball ran loose, but Bamba was already on the move and cleared the danger 7

Greg Cunningham

http://gty.im/1075700490

Preferred to Bennett on the left of defence as City switched to a back four. Experienced full-back who played his part in keeping the Foxes out. Part of a huge team effort 7

Aron Gunnarsson

http://gty.im/1075736810

‘Gunnar’ and Arter returned after being rested from the Palace clash. They linked up in a partnership which disrupted Leicester through midfield and allowed Camerasa to weave his magic. The Iceman simply never stops competing 8

Junior Hoilett

http://gty.im/1075700404

In and out. Working hard, defensively responsible, but still battling to find consistency. No doubt about his Premier quality, but Hoilett seems to be lacking a little in confidence. Trust in Warnock to bring out Hoilett’s best 7

Man of the Match – Victor Camarasa

http://gty.im/1075796578

A Spanish matchwinner. His late goal earned the Bluebirds a first Premier League away win in four years. Camarasa is the gem in Cardiff’s midfield. Technically outstanding. Slots in between Arter and Gunnarsson, looking to create chances for his team 9

Harry Arter

http://gty.im/1087887828

Aggressive, competitive and mean. HIs combination with Gunnarsson gives Camarasa licence to create. Gave Pereira a torrid time. Arter has that Premier knowhow needed by the Bluebirds and they were outstanding through midfield 8

Josh Murphy

http://gty.im/1087888108

Quick, deceive and a potent threat to opposing teams. Has made solid progress during the first half of his opening Premier season – and I expect Murphy to become a big hit in the New Year 7

Callum Paterson

http://gty.im/1075699856

Came through a late fitness test. May not have been 100 per cent fit, but the Scot is always up for a challenge and insisted on starting. Gave England’s Harry Maguire and his fellow Leicester defenders a torrid time with his willingness to battle and compete for every ball 8
