It was a really unfortunate start for Mendez Laing and Cardiff City. The Bluebird was stretchered off in the first quarter of the match.
That didn’t stop the atmosphere from travelling Cardiff City Fans. The atmosphere was unreal. We made our mark.
Yet, there’s still a lot for us to learn in this division. Today was the third game that Cardiff City failed to score in… two of which have been played against a 10-man Premier League team. We are now the only team in the top four divisions to not yet score a goal.

There were of course positives from today. In the second half Cardiff piled on the pressure. The Bluebirds used wide spaces more than in the first half. Yet a common trend is appearing. Our final ball is lacking quality. We are lacking composure and missing good chances. That said, if someone had said 3 games in, we would have only one defeat and two clean sheets… Many of us would’ve snapped their hand off.
I thought Danny Ward was fantastic coming off the bench. I’m not so sure I’d start Zohore at Arsenal. There’s no doubt he contributed to us being here in the Premier League… but he hasn’t yet delivered.

We could surprise ourselves and nick a few points against the big teams. But we’ve got some big games coming up. Arsenal… Manchester City… Chelsea.
We’ve seen Brighton beat Manchester United and Wolves hold Manchester City to a 1-1 draw. If we are to make a mark in the Premier League, we need to keep picking up points. I’d take a point against the likes of Arsenal and City.

Realism over, there’s one thing that stuck with me today. That was the passion from the City fans. Even after the disappointment of the 0-0, the fans cheered the players off the pitch and it was well received. Its all about sticking together and enjoying the Premier league journey. I will never take for granted being a fan of a Premier League team.
Onto Arsenal. Keep the faith. C’mon the Bluebirds.
